Pedigree in Leadership

One thing I feel very strongly about is that South Africans are their worst critics. It's not often that we appreciate the groundwork that has been laid before us by those that spilled blood on the soil for the freedom. If anything, though the seems to be lack of leadership pedigree from all fronts in the country, government, politics and in business.

What we should be striving for in all fronts, is breeding and empowering leaders accordingly. It appears that every time one steps to the front of leadership position. He becomes a target for media attack. I wonder whether is our pedigree of leadership reduced to responses to leadershio statements than taking an initial position from the onset.

But with all this said, we also need to look at what we have as leadership across the country. We can't forever be in the position where we note 1 or 2 previous leaders. In so doing we are failing ourselves as a nation. Thus to exist based on 1 Man Legacy, will leave us worse off than if we embrace and live his values. Nicely put, we are him he is us that's what makes us South Africans.

Without politicising this, lets strive for greatness in leadership. Lets take this country to new heights as would be expected by those that came before us.
