Freedom Day & 44 Days to Go

44 Days to Go to the Biggest Event of the World, to be hosted in the country. Whilst this is a milestone achievement on it's own. One also need to reflect on the path that we have travelled. June 11 has much more significance to South African history than what most people will be aware of. June 11 - 1964 a day that a verdict was reached for the Rivonia Trialist, amongst them Nelson Mandela. It is from this trial that Mandela read a statement and further explained African Nationalism from the ANC perspective " The African Nationalism for which the ANC stands is the concept of freedom and fulfillment for the African people in their own land".

As we celebrate Freedom Day 16 years later, let us not rob ourselves of the opportunity to remember the blood that was spilled on these soild for us to enjoy this freedom. Let us take the torch that our forefathers laid to take our beautiful country forward. Let us trully emancipate our people so that they lose the elements of supremacy that seem to be emerging and dividing our nation much further. Let us march forth in our conquest to trully transform the country in all areas of concern so that our people can feel as well that they are part of this country and share a strong sense of belonging. Let us bring back values of UBUNTU and lead country forward.
